A Little Garden Magic: Propagating a Zinnia!

Have you ever grown a whole new plant from just a small cutting? That's called propagation, and it feels like a little bit of garden magic!

A few weeks ago, I took a cutting from one of my healthy zinnia plants and placed it in water until it grew roots. After planting it in soil and giving it sunshine and water, it grew into a strong new plant.

Last week, I pinched back my propagated zinnia before it had a chance to flower. By removing the growing tip, the plant puts its energy into growing stronger roots and more branches instead of one tall stem. With a little patience, it will soon reward us with even more colorful blooms!

Nature has an amazing way of making more life from just one little plant.
