Garden Science Goes to Market!
Casa Feliz Schoolhouse is excited to participate in the Plant Affair at Volunteer Park on October 24 & 25!
Our Garden Science students will have the opportunity to take what they have been learning beyond the garden and experience the journey from seed to market.
Students will grow and prepare plants for sale while learning age-appropriate concepts in gardening, entrepreneurship, pricing, cost, profit, presentation, and customer interaction.
Families are invited to come out, visit our booth, and support our young growers!

Student Participation
All Garden Science students are invited to contribute plants they have grown through Casa Feliz Schoolhouse.
Students who would like to work at the Casa Feliz booth may also have the opportunity to participate alongside a parent or guardian. Because booth space and working time are limited, a small number of students will be selected for each time slot on Saturday and Sunday.
Students participating at the booth must be enrolled in the October Garden Science Series and must have a parent or guardian present with them for the duration of their shift.
Working at the booth is completely optional. Please do not feel any pressure to participate. Families are encouraged to simply stop by, enjoy the Plant Affair, and support our Garden Science students!
Student-Made Garden Goods
Participating students may also choose to create a garden- or botanical-inspired product to offer at the Casa Feliz booth.
Ideas might include pressed-flower art, botanical bookmarks, seed packets, garden markers, dried herbs, handmade garden crafts, or another student-created product inspired by what we grow and learn together.
This is an optional extension of our From Seed to Market learning experience and gives students another way to explore creativity and entrepreneurship.
