The Garden Science Series

Hands-on science through gardening, observation, and discovery.

Children don't just learn about plants—they grow them. Each 4-week series combines gardening, observation, journaling, and hands-on science as children start plants from seed, observe their development, and learn how to continue caring for them at home.

2026 Garden Series Calendar:

Session Time

Each session is scheduled from 9:00–10:00 AM, though we may occasionally run a few minutes over if we're in the middle of a fun activity or discovery!

Growing Selections Coming Soon!

This summer’s intense South Florida heat has impacted our growing plans, so I’m waiting to finalize our October–December selections based on the temperatures and growing conditions we actually experience. Plants respond to the weather not the calendar!

Each series will feature varieties selected for reliable germination, visible growth, and the best opportunity for success during our four weeks together.

No matter what we grow, our gardeners will plant, observe, experiment, learn, and have plenty of Garden Science fun along the way!

Garden Science Series!

The plants featured throughout the website reflect our own growing journey. Every plant has been started from seed, while the rose collection includes both established bushes and roses we planted from bare roots.
